NITDA Advocates Patronage of Locally Made IT Products

The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has advocated the use of made-in-Nigeria Information Technology products both at local and state government levels as part of efforts in driving its mandate of pushing the frontiers of IT development in country.

The Director General of NITDA, Professor Cleopas Angaye said though the agency has made remarkable strides in driving the mandate in the past 10 years, it is now creating more awareness on the need for individuals and corporate organisations to embrace the use of locally made IT products to further grow the industry.

According to him, some states and local governments are now showing interest in the NITDA line of projects.

The NITDA projects, he said, are geared towards achieving an information rich society towards achieving the Federal Government’s Vision 20 :2020.
